Using our experience and qualifications, we take a ‘hands on’ approach to achieve high quality and tailored treatments. Our team consists of Physiotherapists, Remedial Massage Therapists and Receptionists that will go above and beyond to make your experience with us memorable.

Rick Walton

Principal Physiotherapist

Special Interests: Shoulder rehabilitation, Back pain, GLA:D Australia Certified Practitioner

Rick is practice principal of Taigum Physiotherapy & Massage Clinic. He has 30 years experience in musculoskeletal and sports injury management. Rick graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 1993.

Rick has very much a ‘hands on’ style of physiotherapy. He places priority on identifying the cause of your pain or dysfunction so as to ensure the root of your problem can be addressed leading to more lasting results. Rick has specialised training in the management of osteoarthritis of the hip and knee. He has extensive experience in rehabilitation of shoulder injuries. He is trained in dry needling and has extensive experience with post surgical rehabilitation, spinal pain and work place injuries. Rick has a passion for rugby league and as a former First Grade level player he continues to enjoy a healthy active lifestyle.

Charlotte Garton

Physiotherapist

Special Interests: Ankle injuries, Knee injuries, Shoulder injuries, Pilates

Charlotte graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 2010. She has been working at Taigum Physiotherapy for over 10 years and has developed an approachable style and outstanding clinical skills. These skills assist Charlotte to accurately diagnose a condition and formulate a recovery plan in line with the individual goals. Charlotte uses a combination approach of hands on therapy, education and exercise prescription to achieve the best outcomes.

Charlotte has a keen interest in volleyball, competing at national and international levels in her time. She now enjoys hiking, indoor bouldering and travelling.

Joshua Burge

Physiotherapist

Special Interests: Men’s Health, Vertigo, Neck and Low Back Pain

Josh graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy from the Australian Catholic University (ACU) in 2015. He is a friendly and enthusiastic physiotherapist who is very passionate about identifying what is important to each individual patient and working with them to achieve the best possible outcomes. This is through ‘hands on’ therapy and exercise therapy interventions, with education on particular self management strategies and home exercises.

In his spare time Josh is a tragic sports fan and loves to remain active himself; often competing in social sports with mates and challenging himself with the occasional triathlon.

Nicole Weber

Physiotherapist

Special Interests: Women’s Health, Neck Pain and Hydrotherapy

Nicole graduated from the Australian Catholic University (ACU) with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2020. Nicole heads our hydrotherapy program and runs our popular balance classes. She enjoys treating the large variety of conditions we see in our clinic. Nicole has specialised training in mat Pilates. Nicole strives to find what is meaningful to her patients and helps them achieve their physical goals necessary to lead a fulfilling life.

When she is not treating patients, you will find Nicole practising pilates, playing cello or cooking.

Kurt Gillespie

Physiotherapist

Special Interests: Injury rehabilitation, Muscle strains, Knee injuries, and Falls prevention. 

Kurt graduated with a Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland (UQ) in 2016. He is passionate about providing individualised treatment to each patient while working together with them to achieve the best possible results. Kurt is a strong believer that physical activity and functional movement should be a part of everybody’s lifestyle and strives to utilise both a hands-on approach and evidence-based exercise for long term benefits in his professional care. 

In his spare time you’ll find Kurt indoor climbing, cycling, lifting weights at the gym and having a go at the occasional triathlon with mates.

Noah Trevor

Physiotherapist

Special Interests: Strength and Conditioning, Men’s Health and Elbow, Wrist and Hand injuries.

Noah graduated from the Australian Catholic University (ACU) in 2024 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. With the large variety of conditions we see throughout our patients in the clinic, Noah’s focuses on treatment that is personalised and realistic, accounting for the everyday lifestyle a client has. He believes family is the most important part of everyone’s life and rehab should not get in the way of this.

Noah spends most of his time playing pickleball, hiking, motorcycle riding, video gaming, gardening and volunteering for different organisations.

Zak Ryan

Physiotherapist

Special Interests: Back pain, Sports Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention

Zak joined the team of Taigum Physiotherapy and Massage Clinic after graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree from the Australian Catholic University (ACU) in 2023. He is dedicated to assist individuals with recovery from injuries and improving their overall physical well-being. Zak has a diverse skill set and experience treating a vast range of Musculoskeletal conditions, allowing him to develop effective and individualised treatment plans to help clients achieve their goals.

In his spare time, Zak is a sporting fanatic and enjoys playing a wide variety of sports himself, particularly touch football competing at a national level.

Vicki Hope

Remedial Massage Therapist

Vicki graduated with a Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2009. She comes from a background of snowboarding, having lived and worked in Canada previously as a snowboard instructor. Vicki is interested in neck and shoulder conditions as well as hip and lumbar conditions. She is also enjoys working with athletes pre- and post- event. Vicki hopes to one day attend the New York marathon as a spectator. In her free time, Vicki still watches a lot of snowboarding videos and snowboards overseas annually.

Lisa Walton

Practice Manager

Lisa is our Practice Manager here at Taigum Physiotherapy. She is the face behind the paperwork, accounts, ensuring that the clinic runs smoothly while managing rosters, updating advertising and overseeing the clinic. Lisa has been with Taigum Physio since the beginning, making our private practice a successful family owned business. 

Reception Staff

No team is complete without the support of an amazing admin and reception team. The girls spend their day ensuring the bookings are correct, payments are made and your enquiries are answered! Their friendly nature and beautiful smiles will make sure that you are warmly greeted into the clinic.
