Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage targets impaired muscles and tendons which are tight and knotted.  The massage can be performed with deep pressure or lighter pressure, and aims to stimulate blood circulation to the tight muscles as well as improve muscle tone and joint mobility.  Stretching may also be performed to keep the muscles from tightening.  Remedial massage therapy aims to find any predisposing causes to the muscle imbalance and addresses these factors.
Sports Massage. This is a type of vigorous massage to improve endurance and performance and minimise injury in any person who exercises, whether in the amateur or professional athlete.  Sports massage can be performed pre-event, during the event, or post-event.  It often energises the athlete as well as improve blood circulation and lymph flow.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a firm-pressure massage focussing on the deeper layers of muscles.  This type of massage can be uncomfortable but beneficial in loosening muscles and improving circulation.  Muscle knots, or trigger points are addressed with deep tissue massage.  It can be used with sports injuries or chronic pain.

Pregnancy Massage

Massage during pregnancy can be performed usually after the first trimester (after the first 12 weeks of pregnancy).  Pregnancy massage is useful for lower back and pelvic pain, as well as leg swelling and cramps.  Regular massage throughout the pregnancy is also known to shorten labour duration, and aid in returning to optimal fitness after birth of the baby.

Lymphatic Drainage

This is a gentle, relaxing massage that targets the lymphatic system, which helps with improving immune function and detoxification.  This type of massage is recommended for people with swelling in the arms and legs, low immunity and the physically inactive.
